Policies & community

Privacy, terms of use and community rules for NOVA Forever, all in one place.

Privacy notice

NOVA operates NOVA Forever, an online community for finding and organizing World of Warcraft groups. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Information we use

When you sign in through Discord, we receive your Discord identifier, username, display name, profile appearance and membership information for our community server, including roles and relevant membership dates. We use this information to create and update your account, check community membership and assign staff permissions. We do not receive your Discord password. Our sign-in requests do not request your email or access to your private Discord messages.

We also store information you provide through enabled website features: profile details, characters, run listings and applications, participation records, ratings and review comments, preferences, and any messages or evidence you submit. Character details entered by players are not independently verified through Battle.net.

Your browser sends technical information needed to request pages, such as an IP address and browser headers. Hosting, delivery and Discord services may process connection information when providing their services. Discord-hosted avatars can involve requests from your browser to Discord.

How information is shown and used

Account names, avatars, public profile details, run listings, reviews and reputation can be visible to other visitors. A review may include its author's run role and character details. Privacy settings can limit selected profile and character information; they do not erase all names, reviews or historical run records.

We use account and activity records to run the service, manage groups, calculate reputation, respond to requests, prevent abuse and resolve disputes. Authorized staff may access information needed for their responsibilities. Where an enabled feature permits attachments, access depends on the linked conversation or activity and staff permissions. Do not upload passwords, identity documents or unrelated sensitive information.

Storage, retention and requests

We use sign-in cookies and browser storage described in our Cookie Policy. A login session is valid for up to seven days; signing out ends the current session. Session expiry is not a promise that all account or activity records are deleted.

There is currently no one-click account-erasure or data-export feature. Contact the email above to request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify that the account is yours. Some records may need to be retained for unresolved disputes, security, moderation or applicable obligations. Public-profile settings are separate from a deletion request. Backup copies may require separate handling.

No general retention schedule or fixed deletion deadline is currently specified. Contact [email protected] with questions about retention or a data request.

Changes

We will update this notice when the service or its data practices change. The effective date is shown above. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
